This Silent Night
Snowflakes falling to the ground
Sounds of Christmas all around.
Glittering lights blink off and on
In the night air you can hear a song.
Somewhere amidst the noisy town
Some small child's tear trickle down
Cold, empty, loneliness all he knows
No warm soft bed, no fresh clean clothes.
Some where Neath the still night sky,
A lone Eagle circles high
Inside the inn, a figure small
Squirms, his proud parents standing tall.
This tiny one born on this night
Brings love and the great light.
This tiny one brings hope to all
So others might not slip nor fall.
If you too follow the great light,
Keep your prayers firmly in sight
As you travel life's dusty road,
Just trust in Jesus, He'll carry your load.
