Joel 2:31 (KJV) All over the world, various Christian and Christian-like groups are gritting their teeth as they await the coming of the 4th blood moon this weekend. Many books have been written attempting to explain the "prophetic significance" of these red-colored moons and corresponding tetrads. But here at NTEB, we don't base our eschatology on commentaries and books written by men, however well meaning they may be. We are Bible believers who believe the Bible (there's a crazy concept for you). Blood Moons 101 For Dummies: On April 15, 2014, there was a total lunar eclipse. Not much really, but where it mentions them it is very specific. In the book of the prophet Joel, he talks about a blood moon, but not the kind that today's commentators talk about. For you see Joel's "blood moon" is not a moon that turns an orangey-red glow. On the contrary, Joel's blood moon is the actual moon turning to actual blood. Think about that for a moment and let it sink in. And while you do, ponder on this as well. The timeframe that Joel is seeing in his prophecy of the blood moon is the time of the Day of the Lord: "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come." Joel 2:31 (KJV). When does the Day of the Lord occur? It happens after the Rapture of the Church, at the end of the time of Jacob's Trouble (Jeremiah 30:7 KJV), and at the Battle of Armageddon. So what that means is because the Rapture has not yet happened, the Great Tribulation cannot start, and we certainly won't be seeing the Battle of Armageddon any time soon. Not unless you can jam all that in by this Saturday night! Having said that, the Bible believing Christian is ready any day to either face their own death or be taken up in the Rapture. Could it be today? Could prophecy be fulfilled this weekend? Yes, it certainly could. But a better question is are you ready for what comes next? You better be. We will not give into scare tactics and fear-mongering brought on by Christian authors who are trying to sell more books. Another place it talks about a blood moon is in Revelation 6:12: "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;" Now from the wording here it could be either actual blood or blood-colored, but since Joel's view of the same day sees actual blood. I will view it in the same way as well. Acts 2:20 has Peter quoting from Joel and seeing actual blood as well: "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:" Acts 2:20 (KJV) Now I know this is not nearly as exciting as whipping you up into a fever-pitch and being terrified awaiting a blood-colored moon this Saturday night, but it's what the Bible teaches. I will close with this. The next event that Christians are waiting for is the Rapture of the Church. The Rapture and the Second Coming are two different events. We will not be here for the time of Jacob's Trouble. But as far as the Battle of Armageddon goes, we indeed will witness that, and yes more than witness it, we will fight in it. Revelation 19 tells us how it will go for us in that Day: "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean." Revelation 19:11-14 (KJV) That's the Day of the Lord from Heaven's perspective. The "armies in Heaven" is the Church, that's us, and part of our inheritance is that we get to participate in the Battle of Armageddon in our glorified, resurrection bodies. In that Day we will certainly see the Blood Moon of the Lord, we will ride right past it on white horses! And that's how a Bible believer looks at the current blood moon debate. I think if anything might happen on the 28th, it could be the Rapture. "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Pope Francis declared the work of Jesus on the cross to be a failure Perhaps the most shocking, the most stunning words to ever come out of the Pope's mouth had to do with him talking about the "failure of the Cross". What?? It is because of Jesus on the cross, that we have salvation. It is because of the cross that we now have access to the Father and a FULL pardon for our sins. It is because of the cross that Heaven, and not Hell, is our destination. This is what he said: "The cross shows us a different way of measuring success. Ours is to plant the seeds. God sees to the fruits of our labors. And if at times our efforts and works seem to fail and not produce fruit, we need to remember that we are followers of Jesus Christ and his life, humanly speaking, ended in failure, the failure of the cross." That was it, not another word. You would expect him to say something like "while it appeared to be a failure to His disciples, the cross was actually a victory..." or some such thing. I have heard that preached many times before in church. But the thing is, he didn't say that. He just simply stated that the life of Jesus on the cross "ended in failure", which is a complete and total lie. How he could just leave it there, in defeat, to declare the cross a FAILURE and not expound one, tiny bit more is beyond imagination. The Pope, the self-proclaimed "vicar of Christ", preaching a message of the FAILURE OF JESUS on the cross. Honestly, words fail me at this moment. Truly. What better way could Pope Francis end a "sermon" whose opening remarks call Christ-rejecting, Hell-bound Muslims our "brothers and sisters", and whose main point is the "failure of Jesus on the cross", than by praying to Mary and asking for her blessing: "Dear brothers and sisters, in a few moments, we will sing the Magnificat. September 21, 2015 Islam and Its Cursed Grand Mosque A construction crane has crashed through the roof of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, killing 107 people and injuring nearly 400. The disaster was the result of a violent rainstorm that swept over the city. For the past four years, a series of cranes have been used for a massive expansion of the northern area of the Grand Mosque. The work is part of a $10.6 billion project that, after completion, will allow it to house over 2.5 million worshipers. The failure of the crane begs for comment on its incredible irony. The devastating crash occurred right on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on America. First, the crane was struck by lightning, and then it was blown over by a fierce thunderstorm that occurred in a nation that only gets two inches of rainfall each year. Also the owner of the crane is the Saudi Binladin Group; the family of the late al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. I looked at dozens of news stories on this event, and not a single news organization has dared mention the ironic nature of the situation. This is the type of willful ignorance that we have come to expect from a politician; "If I'm lying, may the Lord strike me dead." (And then is promptly killed by a bolt from the blue.) The press is certainly in one accord about the use of the word "holy" in covering all things related to Islam. The accident happened on a Friday, the "holiest day" of the Islamic week, in the "holy city" of Mecca, at the world's "holiest" mosque in Islam. Of course, this incident happened two weeks ahead of the annual Hajj pilgrimage: the "holiest" Muslim holiday. I find the Grand Mosque more spooky than holy. It has been the epicenter of an endless series of disasters. Here is a list of what I would call the less significant events: December 1975: An exploding gas cylinder caused a fire in a tent colony and resulted in the deaths of 200 pilgrims. November 1979: Over 500 young jihadists seized control the Grand Mosque. It took two weeks for a massive Saudi army effort to retake the Mosque. By the end of the fighting, 127 soldiers as many as 1,000 civilians lost their lives July 1987: A clash between Iranian demonstrators and Saudi security forces brought death to more than 400 pilgrims and injury to thousands more. April 1997: 343 pilgrims were killed and 1,500 injured in a tent fire that raged for two hours. Since then, all tents are required to be fireproof. January 2006: A concrete multi-story building located in Mecca close to the Grand Mosque collapsed. The building, the Al-Ghaza Hotel, is said to have housed a restaurant, a convenience store, and a hotel. The death toll was 76 and the number of injured was 64. A more significant and creepy list cites the calamities that have a direct link to the Stoning of the Devil Ceremony. As pilgrims pass by to throw small stones at pillars representing Satan, deadly stampedes have been a regular part of this ritual. Some notable incidents include: July 2, 1990: A stampede inside a pedestrian tunnel (Al-Ma'aisim tunnel) led to the deaths of 1,426 pilgrims. May 23, 1994: A stampede killed at least 270 pilgrims at the stoning event. April 9, 1998: at least 118 pilgrims were trampled to death and 180 injured in an incident on Jamarat Bridge. March 5, 2001: Thirty five pilgrims were trampled to death in a stampede during the stoning ritual. February 11, 2003: The Stoning of the Devil ritual claimed 14 pilgrims' lives. February 1, 2004: 251 pilgrims were killed and another 244 injured in a lethal crush. January 12, 2006: A stampede, during the ritual on the last day of the Hajj, killed at least 346 pilgrims and injured at least 289 more. It's not like the Grand Mosque is such a uniquely busy place where mass deaths are to be expected. On the list of the largest peaceful gatherings in history, the Islamic Hajj only ranks in the 17th place. Pope John Paul II had some gatherings that were twice as large, and there was no death angel that plagued his events. On every New Year's Eve, one million spectators pack into Time Square. After the ball drops, everyone goes home in one piece. The Saudi government has done everything humanly possible to prevent more tragedy. The Grand Mosque has a small army of security forces, and every new incident results in more safety measures. These untimely deaths keep coming because the spiritual head of Islam is Satan himself. Because Lucifer is also the god of this world, he is able to cover his tracks after each kill. "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour" (1 Peter 5:8 NIV). "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them" (2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV). --Todd No Longer in Kansas Listening to Dr. David Jeremiah the other day, I heard him ask whether anyone in his congregation or his TV audience had ever, in these strange days in which we live, suddenly come to the realization that everything was totally changed around them. He said, "Suddenly you just look around and realize you are 'no longer in Kansas.'" The reference, of course, was to the famous 1939 movie, The Wizard of Oz. Dorothy (Judy Garland), one day after a terrible storm had hit their Kansas farm house, looked around her and saw that she was in a strange, unfamiliar land. She was no longer in Kansas. Dr. Jeremiah then spoke on how America and the world had changed so drastically within recent times that it was almost unrecognizable. The political terrain and the cultural and societal landscape of our nation have changed in ways that would have been inconceivable only a few short years ago. He talked about how the culture war was lost, and that there would never be a return to the America those who are older once knew. I then listened to Dr. Charles Stanley, who dealt with much the same theme in his sermon. He asked: "How did we get to this point?" He meant by that, "How has our nation reached its sad state of affairs? How has society and culture become so changed for the worse?" We are no longer in Kansas, but we aren't in the Land of Oz, either. That's for certain. Things around us aren't bright and beautiful, with fanciful prospects for a better future, in terms of what the deteriorating world conditions portend. There is no Yellow Brick Road to show the way to a future of fun and fantasy. There is only a dark pathway that leads toward the plains of Esdraelon--the Valley of Jezreel. And, the movement toward that vast staging region for man's final attempt to achieve his long-desired collective goal is almost unquestionably on its biblically prophetic track. The stage is set and the actors are getting into position to fulfill their designated roles for the great end-times scene. No, it isn't the God of Heaven who wrote the script or who is directing the nation-state actors. The actors themselves wrote the devilish scenario, and their director is Lucifer, who controls their minds and movements. It is a production that he has since far-distant past ages intended to one day bring him glory equal to the Creator of all things. But, it is the Creator who controls the script. He knows every nuance of storyline in His omniscience. He keeps each scene within timeline and stage boundaries through His omnipotence and omnipresence. So, it is no wonder with all this staging going on behind the curtain that obscures our view that the world around us suddenly appears unrecognizable. The Kansas of our familiar, comforting American culture and society of a decade ago has been irreversibly transformed. As a matter of fact, our current president was perfectly clear and up front in promising that he was going to work to fundamentally change America. He's a man of his word in that regard. Our familiar healthcare is gone. In its place is a system that is obviously designed to transfer power to the Washington, D.C., bureaucracy, giving government greatly increased control over the individual American. This president has been at the center of completely redefining marriage, changing the most basic institution God designed for mankind. We are now forced to accept homosexuality as something even better than heterosexuality or face jail time.This administration has put in place economic conditions that now have 94 million eligible workers on the unemployment dole, and have increased the welfare roles immeasurably. The racial divide has been made part of the president's agenda for change, provable by looking at the hatred of civilian police that has burgeoned as results of actions by the U.S. Attorney General and the Justice Department in places like Ferguson, Missouri, and Baltimore, Maryland. The U.S. Constitution has been assaulted and turned upside-down by the changes an apparently fearful, impotent Congress has failed to resist. The president and leftist judges now rule by fiat a nation that allows them to lead us away from God. Mainstream media, along with much of America's clergy, while Planned Parenthood and their like carry on the slaughter of children in the womb --documented on video in doing their murderous activity--not only look the other way, but vigorously defend this organization that perpetrates such Nazi Dr. Josef Mengele-type evil. Geopolitically, this administration, without pushback from our representatives in government, works incessantly to destroy America's once-strong alliance with Israel. Not only has this administration done things diplomatically to severely damage the relationship, but it now joins with enemies of Israel to assure they have the nuclear weaponry to annihilate the Jewish state as the Iranian supreme leader often promises--and, by the way, to destroy America as well at some point in the not-too-distant future. Individually, to step upon this golden pathway of light that leads to forgiveness and a real, not fanciful, utopian world, requires only the following: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. The Devil's Chapel The Devil's Chapel By: Wendy Wippel Back from my second honeymoon and we saved the best for last, St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. Breathtaking. Majestic. Utterly beautiful. Remember, however, that God called Satan beautiful (Ezekiel 28;12), and warned us that he would seek to destroy the church. God promised that Lucifer will fail. But He also warned us there'd be casualties. That's basically what the churches of Revelation are about. At least partially. The opening verses of the book define the book's purpose as to show the saints what would shortly come to pass. And although the seven churches addressed existed as churches when John wrote about them, (he founded six of them), the text of Revelation two and three indicates that the audience is broader than just those six specific churches. (Every church, and every church age, has its share of all the churchgoers described. And remember, the whole book is prophecy. What is to come. So... at this stage of church history, Bible scholars have come to the realization that the churches themselves, in the order described, present a very clear picture of church history. (If you are familiar with this way of looking at these chapters, my apologies. I am not real sure how familiar this really is among the body as a whole. But hang on. This explanation will be brief, and then we'll move on.) And even their names betray their slot in church history. Starting with Ephesus. 1) Ephesus ("desirable,"), the zealous early church that was nonetheless losing their first love. 2) Smyrna, (root word myrrh, the embalming spice), the church persecuted church by two centuries of Roman rule, with an estimated 5 million martyrs. 3) Pergamos, (thoroughly married,or mixed marriage), the church under the Emperor Constantine, who essentially married the pagan religious system of Rome with the fourth century church, introducing a host of pagan concepts that eventually created the church at ... 4) Thyatira, (continual sacrifice), the Papal Church of the Middle Ages, forerunner to the Catholic Church today, which has elevated Mary to co-redemptrix (the most important cult of worship in Rome was the Temple of the vestal virgians), worships of multitude of saints (just like Rome had a blue million Gods) and literally believes that the wafer baked by the priests turns into the body of a God. And what's more, when you eat that God, you're safe for another day! Which means that you have to keep making sacrifices to stay on God's good side. (Ergo "Our lady of perpetual sacrifice"). Not any verse in the Bible. 5) Sardis, (to come out), the church of the reformation, who rediscovered the gospel but nonetheless continued to be highly anti-semetic and for the most part sterile. 6) Philadelphia, (brotherly love), the church that spurred on primarily (finally!) by bibles in their own hands and in their own language, rediscovered God's word and took the gospel to heart, creating the great evangelical movement of the last three centuries. 7) Laodicea, (the people rule), the apostate church, with nothing that can be said of them that's good. And since the Lord is outside of this church, trying to get in, it would seem that this is the "church" of the tribulation. The one ruled by the antichrist, after the rapture has taken all church age believers home. OK. Back to the Basilica of St. Peter. It really is just incredible. Michelangelo's statue of the Virgin Mary, cradling the dead body of her son (the Pieta). It's hard to believe that a block of cold marble could make you weep. The dome over Peter's grave. Also by Michealangelo. Just incredible. With seemingly thousands of other works of art by every Italian painter or sculptor of note, on every wall and in every corner. And though the church is a work in progress, It's easy to see why centuries of good Roman Christians, literate or not, must have believed that God must be accessible in that place. And that everything the man that preached in that place (nearly 1800 years of popes), according to the Roman Catholic Church, must be absolutely true. But, as we saw in the "what's to come" that John's prophecies promised to clue us into, things starting going south in the time of the church of Pergamum. The mixed marriage church, when Constantine married the pagan worship of Rome to the Christian church, putting pagan priests, in fact, in charge of some Christian congregations. (And apparently, like the frog being boiled alive) things changed slowly enough that the true Christians didn't recognize the threat. Or maybe the true believers had pretty much all been martyred in the age of the church of Smyrna. It was, in fact, Constantine himself that had the original Church of Saint Peter built over Peter's traditional burial site. And something like 3500 generations of worshipers have (largely by the selling of indulgences) added to its earthly grandeur since, making it, according to one guide book, "the greatest of all churches of Christendom". If popularity counts, no doubt it deserves the title. It draws nearly a million visitors a year. Ditto for quality (and amount) of decoration. It's also the largest Christian church covering nearly three square acres. But for me, the wonder of the sheer glory of the place began to be pierced by other perceptions. Much of the decoration consists of sculpture or pictures of the popes, or recognitions of their awards, anniversaries, or accomplishments. And about 45 minutes in, the tour guide totally burst the bubble by cheerfully informing us that the nave of the edifice was built specifically to the dimensions of the Pantheon. The pantheon being another ancient Roman building, on the other side of the ancient city core, whose purpose was defined in its name, pantheon, meaning "all Gods". It was a temple built to worship a multitude of gods. And that formed the basis of St. Peter's Basilica. You may have heard that Constantine became a Christian. He didn't. (Although his mother did). He was, in fact, forcibly baptized on his deathbed. But he served his purpose. He married the Christians of Rome to the system of pagan worship, and the pagans got the last laugh. Today, the pantheon has few visitors, but St. Peter's is always packed. Wasn't it Luther that said "wherever God builds a church, the devil builds a chapel"?

The Church Age, or the Age of Grace, is about to be done, and it will see it's climax in an event called the Pretribulation Rapture of the Church. This event will usher in what the prophet Jeremiah saw and called to be the Time of Jacob's Trouble. The Rapture of the Church is not the same event as the Second Coming of Jesus Christ for reasons previously mentioned here. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God." 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 (KJV) Now, before we go any further, make sure that you are checking these references using the Authorized Version King James 1611 Holy Bible. Because if you aren't, you will not be able to make these connections. Nearly all the modern Bibles remove words and verses, thereby changing the meanings and rendering a proper conclusion impossible. I will show you exactly what I mean at the end of this teaching. So look at what the Holy Spirit through Paul is saying here, two things need to happen right before the Rapture of the Church. One, there has to be a great falling away from the truth. You can check that off the list as that is happening right now. False teachers abound like never before, Bible doctrine is no longer preached, and the Church service has become indistinguishable from your average night at the club. Christianity has become a Laodicean "churchianity" and the sheep are dying from malnutrition. The second thing Paul mentions is that the man of sin, the Antichrist, must be revealed. Paul says that whoever he is, he is the son of perdition. Find him, and you find the Antichrist. "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;" Titus 2:13 (KJV) As Christians, we are commanded to wait and look for the Glorious Appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ in the clouds to rapture us up and out of here, and so we do. No where in Scripture does it command Christians to look for the Antichrist. But God, in His amazing mercy towards us, wants us to have as much information as possible as we battle the world, the flesh and the Devil. We are not ignorant of the Enemy's devices, and knowing Scripture prepares us for battle. So using Paul's clues, let's take a ride through the Bible and see about this son of perdition. "While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled." John 17:12 (KJV) No surprise that our search leads us back to John, Paul and John are tag-team prophecy warriors who back each other up, and here we seeing Jesus talking about the son of perdition. It is the same son of perdition that Paul referenced, none other than Judas Iscariot, the Betrayer. But there's more.... "Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon." John 13:26 (KJV) Here we have Judas in the act of betrayal, and it is a stunning example of why we only use the King James Bible. Jesus is talking about handing a "sop" to someone, and then dipping it in a dish. Anyone who has ever spent time with Italian people who can cook know exactly what a sop is. My friend Andy's mom used to make what Italians call "gravy", or spaghetti sauce, and it would simmer on the stove for hours. When it was close to done, we would take a fresh piece of Italian bread and dip it in the pot, and we would "sop it up". Delicious! Now do you see what a sop is? It is a piece of bread for dipping in sauce or olive oil. The NIV renders the sop of John 13:26 as "bread", and in doing so, throws one of the biggest prophecy clues right out the window. Yes, a sop is a piece of bread - BUT - it is much more than that. Bread is just bread , but a sop is a clue. S = Son | O = Of | P = Perdition. Bam! After 23 years of knowing this and teaching this to people it still sends chills down my spine. God is so good. Now do you see why we say God has preserved His word in the KJV? But there's more, we are not done yet. "That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place." Acts 1:25 (KJV) When Judas killed himself after the world's greatest betrayal, he didn't simply go to Hell, not at all. He went to his own, very special holding area that we see mentioned in Acts 1:25. One reason for this special place is because God is not done with him just yet. In the Time of Jacob's Trouble, Judas is going to come back as the Antichrist. Why? Because Paul already told you he would in 2 Thessalonians, remember? "and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;". In fact, lots of people make a reappearance. Moses and Elijah come back as the Two Witnesses, Judas comes back as the Antichrist, and of course, Jesus comes back as Himself. Yay! Now we are right back where we started, having compared Scripture with Scripture, and have let the Bible tell us who the identity of Antichrist is. Judas Iscariot. Do we need to know his modern-day name in 2015? No, not at all. Christians are not told to look for the Antichrist, knowing his name today wouldn't do us much good anyway. Soon, the Church will be raptured out of here and the world we leave behind will be given the modern-day name of Antichrist, yes, but they will not have the understanding of prophecy that you and I have. The Bible declares that unsaved, non-born again people cannot receive God's word: "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV) Yes, people in the Tribulation will have the Antichrist's 21st Century name - BUT - they will not have his connection to Judas Iscariot, and because of that will worship him as the Messiah. Ugh, what a stinking mess that will be. Aren't you glad you are going to miss all that because you are saved, born again, Blood washed and headed to Heaven? I sure am! "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 (KJV)

Witches, Wizards, and the Word of God "Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts." (Rev. 9:21) "And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived." (Rev. 18:23) The above scripture comes from the book of Revelation, the final book of God's word, which deals with the end-time. One might expect murder, fornication, and theft to be widespread sins in the last days because we see a continual increase of these sins with every passing year. But notice that a fourth sin is mentioned as well: sorcery. According to God's word, we can expect to see an increase in sorcery as the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ draws near. According to Webster, the word "sorcery" means "magic; enchantment; witchcraft; divination by the assistance or the supposed assistance of evil spirits, or the power of commanding evil spirits." One does not have to look very far to see that God's word is being fulfilled before our very eyes. Along with numerous other Biblical signs that our Lord's return is near, we are also witnessing a tremendous increase in occultism. Much of this is obviously due to the way many books, movies, and television programs are glamorizing such evil practices as witchcraft and wizardry. God's word clearly condemns all such practices, yet millions of people, especially young people, are being led to believe that it is possible to be a good witch or a good wizard. Nothing could be further from the truth. Satan is playing a very nasty trick on our children. Books such as the Harry Potter series are presenting two kinds of witches and wizards: evil ones and good ones. The books and movies offer a "built-in" contrast so that no one looks elsewhere for a contrast. That is, the "good" witches look very good compared to the "evil" witches. The psychological effect is that the mind of the reader or viewer becomes satisfied with the "fair balance" and sees no reason to look outside the movie or book for more accurate information. Consequently, millions of people will read a Harry Potter book and never read the Bible to see what God says about witches and wizards. For example, after watching the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, one young girl said, "Yes, there is witchcraft, but it is mostly goodwitchcraft." Good witchcraft? Who said it was good witchcraft? God certainly didn't give anyone this impression, so it must have came from the movie or the books. Sadly, this young girl has only been given one side of the story: the Hollywood side. While expecting everyone to be open-minded and allow their children to be influenced by occultism, the promoters of this wickedness have maintained a very closed mind by never telling anyone what God's word says about witchcraft and wizardry. After reading this tract, you will know God's side. Hopefully, you will be smart enough to realize that you've been deceived by filthy rich producers and publishers. They've fed you a massive lie, and you've paid them for it. The money they received from you will help empower them to sell their lies to others in the form of more books and movies. The Bible is quite clear: there are no good witches or wizards: "There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God. For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do." (Deuteronomy 18:10-14) Now, think about that, friend. Either God lied to you in the Bible, or Satan is lying to you in the books and movies. God said that Sabrina the Teenage Witch is an abomination. God said that Harry Potter and his friends are an abomination. Do you have the courage to believe God? "Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times . . . Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God." (Lev. 19:26, 31) "And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people . . . A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them." (Lev. 20:6, 27) Have you seen any good witches or good wizards in those passages? Let's try again: "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." (Gal. 5:19-21) Have you seen any good witches yet? Well, let's keep trying: "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." (Exo. 22:18) Notice that God doesn't make any distinction between good witches and evil witches. Every witch, every wizard, and every sorcerer in the Bible is evil in the sight of God! Notice Acts 13:8-10: "But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, and said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?" Witches, wizards, and sorcerers are children of Satan. They may look cute and make you laugh and cry, but God said they are an abomination to Him. Furthermore, rather than seek entertainment from these evil characters, we have been commanded to separate ourselves from them and expose them for the workers of iniquity that they really are. Please note Ephesians 5:11: " And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." No fellowship! It's a sin to read their books or watch their movies. In the Bible, God's people hated witchcraft so much that they burnedbooks containing this evil (Acts 19:18-20), yet today we have people entertaining themselves with it. David said, "I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me." (Psa. 101:3) Friend, don't comfort yourself with the idea that it's okay to look at witchcraft as long as you don't practice it. No wicked thing should be set before your eyes, and no wicked thought should enter your heart (Mat. 5:28; II Cor. 10:5). God is holy, and He will hold all men accountable to His holy infallible words. If you have been deceived by the devil's crowd, why not turn from this deception right now and ask God's forgiveness? Witchcraft is a great sin in the sight of God, any type of witchcraft, but no sin is too great for God's forgiveness. God sent His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to pay for all your sins: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) Jesus came, He died, and then He rose again for your justification. Today, Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of God in Heaven waiting for you to turn to Him and trust Him as Lord and Saviour. The Bible declares that you are a sinner by birth, but you may be a saint by having a new birth: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Rom. 3:23) "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me." (Psa. 51:5) "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." (John 3:7) "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever." (I Pet. 1:23) God wants to forgive you for all your sins and make you a new creature in Christ! II Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Friend, the excitement of reading a book or watching a movie about witchcraft is nothing compared to the excitement and joy of having all your sins forgiven by God Almighty! There is no greater power than the power of God, so why waste your time with the lesser powers of witchcraft and wizardry? There are millions of true Christians who have left the dark world of occultism and entered the lighted path of righteousness, and you can be next. God's word says in Romans 10:9-10, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Friend, what has the major film producers and book publishers done to save your soul from a burning Hell? They've done nothing but bring you closer to Hell! If you died and went to Hell today, the occult producers and publishers wouldn't shed a tear for you. They would go right on damning more people just like you. However, if you turn to Jesus Christ today and trust Him as your Saviour, the angels of Heaven will rejoice! "Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth." (Luke 15:10) Who will be your Lord? Will it be Jesus Christ or Satan? Why not bow your head right now and ask God's forgiveness for all your sins? You have His promise of forgiveness, so why not do it? Become a child of God today and begin living for God. After all, tomorrow may be too late. "To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me." While the high temperatures, dust and haze are to remain through Shabbat, they are predicted to largely dissipate by the Jewish New Year of Rosh Hashanah, which starts Sunday night. All of the particulates in the skies have led to a very high level of air pollution that has seen many Israelis suffer from breathing problems. In the Jezreel Valley, Modi'in and Beit Shemesh, the particulate concentration levels reached an incredible 1,500 micrometers, while in Jerusalem, Eilat and the western Galilee, those values were at 1,300 micrometers. Readings in Haifa and the coastal region around Tel Aviv were also above the air pollution alert level. The dust and sand in the air has been accompanied by a suffocating heat that has yet to relent on Friday. Local rain in the eastern part of Israel is anticipated on Monday afternoon, possibly indicating a cleaning of the dusty air. Dr. Levana Cordova-Bijoner, director of the national monitoring branch of the Environment Ministry, told Walla! that either strong eastern winds or rain would have cleared some of the dust out of the air, but the weak winds Israel has been experiencing have not helped. "Currently we are still seeing high concentrations of particles in the air, meaning there's a danger to the health of the public," said Cordova-Bijoner. "It will settle gradually because the winds are very weak. The expectation is that during the weekend, on Saturday night, things will improve." "We see there are many more visits to the emergency rooms and to doctors due to shortness of breath among patients in danger, those with heart disease, the elderly, children and pregnant women. And if so, what does that mean for our future? As we approach the final months of 2015, it seems like more people are talking about apocalyptic scenarios than ever before. The mainstream media is doing articles on “end of the world fears“, and it is being reported that 41 percent of all Americans believe that “we are living in what the Bible calls the last days.” For those that believe, the signs are everywhere – geopolitical instability, moral decay, steadily increasing numbers of natural disasters and a global financial system that could fall apart at any moment. Others mock the idea that we could be living in “the last days”, and many of them point to the amazing technological progress that humanity is making and the unprecedented prosperity that we have been enjoying in recent times. If things are actually “getting better”, they argue, then how could we possibly be living in the end times described in the Bible? And of course atheists are convinced that God doesn’t exist at all, and that all of this apocalyptic talk is just a bunch of religious nonsense. So what is the truth? This is a very controversial area of discussion, and I certainly recognize that there are a wide variety of opinions on this. I am going to share with you what I think, and you can take it for what you think that it is worth. Personally, I always like to start with certain preconditions that had to have been met before the last days as described in the Bible could begin. In particular, the rebirth of the nation of Israel in 1948 was an extremely significant event. The events described in the book of Revelation and elsewhere in the Bible regarding the last days assume that the nation of Israel exists and that it controls the city of Jerusalem. Well, when the book of Revelation was written the nation of Israel had already ceased to exist. In 70 AD, the Romans absolutely flattened the city of Jerusalem and dispersed the Jewish people. For almost two thousand years, the land of Israel and the city of Jerusalem were controlled by foreign powers. But then that all changed in 1948. Never before in human history had a nation that had been wiped off the face of the map for nearly two thousand years come back into existence. But in 1948 it happened just like the Bible said that it would. And then in 1967 the Jewish people recaptured the city of Jerusalem just like the Bible said that they would. But that does not necessarily mean that we are in “the last days”. Even though certain preconditions have been met, the return of Jesus Christ could still potentially be a way off. In Matthew chapter 24, Jesus describes some other things that we should look for just prior to His return… 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Certainly so much of that is now coming to pass, and on my website I regularly write about the increase in natural disasters that we have already seen in recent years and about the great natural disasters that are coming. But in this article I want to focus on the phrase “iniquity shall abound”. For decades, the United States and much of the rest of the world has been in moral decline. For this country in particular, I would refer you to an article that I did entitled “100 Facts About The Moral Collapse Of America That Are Almost Too Crazy To Believe“. Our nation has become a cesspool of wickedness, filth and corruption, and it is getting worse with each passing day. It has been said that if God does not judge the United States that He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah. Prominent Christian ministers all over America believe that we stand right at the precipice of major judgment, and this includes Billy Graham’s own son… Franklin Graham, president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, says the “defining moment” for America and humanity has arrived. “As a nation we have arrogantly turned our back on God, and I believe God’s judgment will come against our country,” Graham says. I agree with Franklin Graham. In fact, I believe that America is being shown exactly why judgment is coming. For example, I believe that all of these undercover Planned Parenthood videos have come out at this specific time so that the entire nation can be confronted with our nightmarish crimes against humanity. Virtually everyone in America now knows that Planned Parenthood viciously murders babies, harvests their body parts, and sells them off to the highest bidder. And the U.S. government is funding this. So where is the outcry? Where is the national repentance? There should be Nuremburg-style trials for what is going on, and yet the silence is deafening! The sad truth is that we can’t even get Planned Parenthood defunded, and some of our politicians actually intend to go after the organization that made the undercover videos exposing these practices. Today, most churches and most Christians don’t even want to utter the word “abortion” because it might “offend” someone. Plus, many Christians are so busy ripping each other to pieces that they don’t even have time to address the things that really matter. For decades, God has been pleading with America to repent, but there has been no repentance. So now God is going to have to use judgment to try to wake us up. And we should be very thankful for this, because I believe that without the shaking that is coming there would be no repentance at all. God could have set a day for the return of His Son that had no warnings whatsoever. But because shaking after shaking is coming, there will be opportunity after opportunity for all of us to turn back to God, and that is what He ultimately wants. The God of the Bible has laid out His plan in advance, and it is there for everyone to see. One scholar has discovered that there are at least 1,800 references to the return of Jesus Christ in the Scriptures… In The End, Bible prophecy scholar Dr. Mark Hitchcock wrote there are more than 1,800 references to the Second Coming in the Bible and for every prophecy about Christ’s first coming there are eight regarding His Second Coming. People are exhorted more than 50 times to be ready for Christ’s return. In light of present world conditions, we need to not only prepare for Jesus’ return, but to tell others about it too. Their eternal destinies are at stake. Ultimately, all of us get to choose what we will believe, and most people end up believing exactly what they want to believe. But for those that are truly seeking, the truth is not hard to find. Yes, I believe that we are living in the last days just before the return of Jesus Christ as described in the Bible. Now The End Begins The Bible Believers Guide To Understanding What Blasphemy Of The Holy Ghost Really Is by Jimmy Randolph THE BIBLICAL DEFINITION OF BLASPHEMY OF THE HOLY GHOST "Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men." Matthew 12:31 (KJV) I’ll be doing an article soon on my personal testimony in the Lord. But for the purposes of this article, allow me to go ahead and state that several years ago the Lord delivered me and my family from the Charismatic cult. From childhood up, my “protestant popes” were false teachers like Creflo Dollar, T.D. Jakes, and Eddie Long. As far as “christian” music goes, all I knew were worldly “gospel” musicians such as Kirk Franklin, Mary & Mary, and Donnie McKirkland. Pocketbook, thou are loosed!: TD Jakes receiving $1,000,000.00 dollar "healing" from Tyler Perry. Pocketbook, thou are loosed!: TD Jakes receiving $1,000,000.00 dollar "healing" from Tyler Perry. I was taught and stood for all the charismatic heresies including tongues, healing oil, holy water, baptismal regeneration, etc. The charismatic cult (as well as all other cults) thrives on those completely ignorant of scripture. They know that one of the keys to keeping people out of the Bible and hesitant about searching the scriptures for themselves (John 5:39 KJV), is to keep them in bondage. This goal is accomplished by getting people to believe that understanding the Bible really doesn’t matter, is too difficult to understand, filled with so many errors that you can only trust what a man says about it, is to be privately interpreted, or that God’s truth is only contained in the ORIGINAL Greek and Hebrew which no one possesses today. The end game to this is what I refer to as “protestant popes”, where salvation is ultimately determined on what the pastor thinks or feels about the person. If you tithe well, the pastor says you’re saved. If you don’t tithe, the pastor says you’re lost. If you become a member of the church, the pastor says you’re saved. If you denounce your membership, the pastor says you’re lost. If you jump up and down, pass out, shake uncontrollably, or speak in tongues during the jungle music ‘gospel” rock show, you’re saved; If you don’t, you’d better checkup. So on and so forth. One of the cardinal rules in all the charismatic churches I’ve experienced, is that under no circumstance are you allowed to SPEAK AGAINST or CHALLENGE what the pastor says or does from the pulpit. Whether it’s scriptural or not. I’ve heard pastors openly proclaim suicide as an unpardonable sin from the pulpit. I’ve seen pastors break out in the “holy ghost shuffle” while speaking in tongues from the pulpit. Questioning such foolish gestures were labeled as one committing the UNPARDONABLE SIN of BLASPHEMY AGAINST THE HOLY GHOST. Therefore, no ever would or could open their mouths against it. WE DID NOT KNOW THE BIBLE. So what exactly is the Biblical definition of Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost? Over the past few weeks, I’ve read comments after comments of people rejecting the Biblical doctrine of eternal security by quoting this unpardonable sin, but NO ONE ever gave definition as to exactly what this sin was. Is it saying something negative about someone speaking in tongues?? Is it criticizing “faith healers” such as Benny Hen and the rest of the circus clowns? Is it unbelief? Is it falling away from the faith? What does it mean? The unpardonable sin of blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is found in Matthew 12:24-32 / Mark 3:22-30 / and Luke 12:10 KJV. Scripture upon scripture and context allows the Holy Ghost to continually guide us into all truth. This brings us to Mark where the Holy Ghost gives us the Biblical definition of what this unpardonable sin is: "And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house. Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit." Mark 3:22-30 (KJV) Notice how the Holy Ghost specifically capitalized the (H) in “He”. That “He” is Jesus! That’s who the scribes are LITERALLY pointing at. The comforter hasn’t even come yet (John 16:7 /Acts 19:1-2 KJV). Now what’s the context? The Lord Jesus Christ is LITERALLY on earth healing people and casting out devils and the scribes are LITERALLY accusing the Lord Jesus Christ (ON EARTH), of having the unclean/demonic spirit of Beelzebub, whereby he is doing miracles. Now let’s look at Matthew. "But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? Matthew 12:24-32 (KJV) Including what we’ve learned from Mark, we see the Lord Jesus Christ specifically state that it is by the Spirit of God whereby he cast out devils and not Beelzebub, and such sin would not be forgiven in this world, neither the world to come. Now what is the world to come? The world to come is the regeneration of the earth, during Christ’s 1000 year Millennial Reign when he LITERALLY reigns ON EARTH from Jerusalem (Matthew 19:28 KJV). We now have the Biblical definition of the unpardonable sin of Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost occurs when the Lord Jesus Christ is LITERALLY ON EARTH and an individual proclaims that the miracles and works that the Lord Jesus Christ is LITERALLY DOING ON EARTH is of an unclean spirit. This sin can ONLY be committed while Jesus is on LITERALLY ON EARTH. Which is why the Lord also mentioned the world to come, by which he is LITERALLY ON EARTH again, but this time ruling and reigning. This sin CANNOT BE COMMITED TODAY. Today, the Lord Jesus Christ is not LITERALLY ON EARTH. He is LITERALLY at the right hand of God (Acts 7:55-56 KJV). How can we check and verify that this definition is correct? But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;" Acts 2:1-16 (KJV) Here, you have people MOCKING as the Apostles speak in tongues (which are literal languages), and not once does Peter even make mention of them committing the unpardonable sin of blasphemy against the Holy Ghost! The unpardonable sin of blasphemy against the Holy Ghost has NOTHING to do with mocking “tongue speakers” or “faith healers” or anything of that nature.
