FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Food For Thought
"Take no thought saying, What shall we eat?

Shortly after beginning God’s Christian Ministry in Cleveland, Tennessee. our family had a serious need of our own. Financing the ministry from our own budget, we had run short at the end of the month (as many families do). Two weeks before pay - day and I needed to go grocery shopping.
Straightening the kitchen, Charles came in.
"Honey what's for dinner?"
We had ONE box of macaroni and cheese to feed a family of 6 for two weeks. When I shared that fact with him he became very agitated. How could this happen - what are we going to do?
Once again I had no answer. Doing the only natural thing, I gathered the family together in the living room.
Holding hands, we each took turns thanking God for our macaroni and cheese. We had enough gas to go to the post office and home, The mail was bills, bills, bills --- discouraged I went through them -- folded in between a flyer was an insurance check for $129.00. I shudder to think of the outcome had we NOT trusted God and praised Him for His provisions before they came to pass.
Father -- increase our faith as Your children.
