“The eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.” 2 Chronicles 16.9

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled....Matthew 5:3-6 Note that Jesus said, "the poor in spirit." He did not say, "humble in appearance, or having a show of humility." Humility accompanies the Holy Spirit, when He comes into a person’s life. This is why a person cannot hide pride. They may even pretend to be humble for some time, but not all the time. A time will come that pride will be manifested, one way or another. The stench of pride, the haughty look, and the feeling superiority are soon revealed, and pride becomes too much to bear. But to those who are born of spirit, humility is part of their daily lives. They are genuine, honest, and simple. Everyone likes to be close to them, to listen to what they say, and to smell their spiritual fragrance that fills the air. "For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?" 2 Corinthians 2.15,16 Assistants, pastors, bishops and wives, let us not be humble towards others only when in the presence of a spiritual authority that can bless or discipline us. Let us be humble all the time, in every situation, especially when our superiors are not looking — yet God is, for it says, “The eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.” 2 Chronicles 16.9
