How many steps do you take in a 24-hour period? In a recent survey, men took an average of 7192 steps per day. The women in the survey took an average of 5210 step per day. From birth to death, the steps wobbly at first step adding balance and confidence as the years pass so swiftly often one begins to run. Training for the Olympics is a endeavor many try for to prove their powers and stamina. Guidelines established in 7 BC and must be adhered to in the most disciplined way Held in huge open-air arenas only the fit can precipitate with hopes of final win. How does this even tie in with hell? Simple. Our steps which are ordered by the Lord from the beginning of time have the potential of good and evil .Hell is full of the evil footsteps, decisions and actions that led the strong virile steps of youth to depths one did not want to travel. The New Testament Koine Greek contains many words and phrases concerning the Olympic games of Biblical times, because they were familiar household terms that powerfully communicated God's truths by comparing the known and familiar terms of the Olympic Games to the spiritual truths of God's Word. The grueling training the discipline necessary to master the Olympic running of the marathons, is also a significant spiritual truth: Stepping in the direction of hell, or Sheol (Hebrew) - It is the non-permanent place or temporary address of the disembodied souls of dead.. It is the same as the Greek word "Hades", Prior to Jesus Christ's resurrection, both the souls of the evil and the righteous went there after death. It is translated "grave" 31 times, "hell" 31 times, and "pit" 3 times in King James Version (KJV) of the Bible. Aware of the extreme conditions of training for the marathon, many things come into focus: A central truth in the Olympic training is In "Striving for the mastery", is the Greek word "athleo", from which we get the English word "athlete". Freely translated, this verse states that "if anyone competes in the games, he cannot receive medals or awards (stephanos) unless he obeys the rules." Always striving for perfection and mastery we can never win the race in life and have our steps go upward unless we obey the rules, rules HE has placed before us. "Stripping down to competition weight" and "running an Olympic foot race with endurance". Notice here that the event we are to compete in IS PLACED IN FRONT OF US. We do not choose our "event" or "race" in this life, but God, in His infinite wisdom, chooses our "event" for each of us. Knowing the beginning to the end a PURPOSE in all things. Stripping away the layers of sin will also allow us to have our steps upward to the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit will bring to your mind the things, which weight you down and prevent you from becoming all you can be in Christ Jesus. And the steps once again continue downward. Steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. Stepping downward in NEVER HIS will for you but your choice. In the Olympic arena "STADIA" ( KJV "race") - In verse 24, Running the "track", or "race course" event. The KJV word "race" in is the Greek word "stadia". "Stadia" was used for the "stadium", in which the foot race events were held, and as a unit of measure, for about 220 yards. the length of the Everyone who competes only one wins the coveted prize ,and the foot race is most strenuous, placing strain and pain on the feet legs tendons and muscles. Placing you under subjection of the rules of the trainer, we can see the ultimate results as we look toward the prize set before us. Striving for the mastery of the race and the Olympic torch, we are fighting the good fight of faith and physical stamina. . Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible "crown"; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so "fight" I, not as "one that beateth the air": But I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a "castaway"."We never want to be castaway or disqualified by the misuse of our bodies which is the temple of the Lord. Never allow yourself to become disqualified" from receiving rewards for not following the rules. God's Word contains the "rules" for our "race". To bring one under subjection of the Master Trainer, we MUST conform to their rules and discipline the body in the training. Having self-control required of any athlete to become an excellent athlete, we fight the good fight. Self-control awarded to the child of God and as they exercise it, they are strengthened both physically and spiritually. Temperance also speaks of self-control and the desire to become perfected in the games. Crown also means awards, medals and wreaths that are laid at the winners feet. Our "crowns", throughout the New Testament, are always the Greek word "stephanos". The Greek word "diadem" is the word for a "kings crown", and only Jesus wears a "diadem". Our "crowns", or rewards for Christian service are stated 9 times, and are always "stephanos", relating directly to the athletic awards of the Olympic Games. Paul likens his physical training as this: Shadow boxing he knew the pitfalls, which were to come his way so he kept both physically, mentally, and spiritually, fit, not allowing any distractions. Paul is saying that our "fight" or "boxing match" is not as one who "shadow boxes", but our "boxing match" is real. Again, a Greek Olympic training phrase, used to state that our enemy is spiritual and very real! And the enemy is literally fighting for your soul!! Rom 8:37 states that every Christian is more than a "conqueror", or "winner" through Him who loved us. As conquering athletes, we can boldly say unto the Lord the Lord is my helper I will NOT fear what man can do to me. Standing in awe and total reverence before the Lord YOU have escaped the GATES OF HELL BY HIS GRACE and the blood HE shed on Calvary. The Christian's final judgment is described in 2 Cor 5:10 and in Rom 14:10, and the "judgment seat" of Christ is a "bema". The "bema" in New Testament times was a raised platform at the Olympic Games, where the chief of the games stood and placed awards around the neck of all the winners! The "Great White throne" in Rev 20:11, where God sits to judge all the unbelievers is a "THRONAS", or King's throne, but the Christian's judgment at the Judgment Seat of Christ is a "BEMA", where all the Olympic "winners" filed by to receive their awards, or "stephanos". What a wonderful picture of Christ, who died for our sins, placing our "awards" on our heads and around our necks at our judgment! The most important crown one will ever receive is the crown of righteousness, which as it is stated in Revelation 4:10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, To cast our crowns at the feet of the one who died for us is so reverent and holy it really lacks proper words to describe it. The false teachers, preachers, prophets who have The many forms of lies have led you astray to not believe in the truth but the watered down doctrine hell is a myth, God sends no one to hell and the lies continue. Were hell a 'myth' and 'believers won't go there’ Jesus would have died in vain; His precious blood shed for you was for nothing. Jesus himself warned others about the reality of hell and the outcome of unbelief. You have followed false teachers, false preachers and false prophets to gain or earn your way into Heaven. Dear reader that does not nor never will work. To escape the lies and flames of the so-called 'myth of hell' you must do only one thing: It is crucial to believe on Jesus Christ for your salvation and escape from the 'myth'. Someone else's belief and faith will not save you. Belief is an action word you must use daily. The myth of hell has been so horribly distorted believers now face the same fate they tried to escape. Another word for myth is found in the word, defraud (or to steal, cheat, twist the truth) False prophets, false teachers and false preachers defraud EVERYONE who believes their twisted lies. The Word says it is wrong, if it is wrong in the eyes of God how can mere man justify their lies? Have you been a wise steward over your soul? Are you seeking HIS way or your own? WHY would a 'pastor, teacher or prophet LIE'? Simple answers found within your reach, but you must seek the answers. Deceitful, cunning described by Webster's dictionary. Today's false preachers, false prophets and false teachers are little different from those in Jesus time. They abound and their ultimate goal is to drag a believer to the gates of hell. Being well versed and having a close walk with the Father, you will be able to discern error. Error proclaimed daily in the pulpits to those who 'believe a lie' 1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: The next time you hear hell is a myth think again who is speaking and what is their agenda? Translated “hell” meaning eternal torment” 2 Peter 2:4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment; Greek: gehenna (from the Hebrew Valley of Hinnom) Translated “hell” meaning place of everlasting torment Matthew 10:28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Wisps of grey smoke dotted the sky rising from the mountain range, assuming this was just burning leaves at a campsite I brushed aside what is now a reality. Visiting with my son and his family in Peyton Colorado, we chatted and fellow shipped until dusk. Pulling out of the driveway, Josh and I were amazed to see a red sunset with many gray clouds—no it was the WALDO CANYON FIRE- in a fast clip along the mountain range. Calling Jon we were telling him about the forest fire we was—he was watching local news and confirmed indeed there was a fire unconstrained raging in Waldo Canyon. Access to the canyon was almost impossible due to the steep terrain and the increasing winds. Arriving at my apartment, as I climbed the 3 flights of stairs I could see the red glow of the fire and smell the acrid stench that almost burned the nostrils. Covering the fire all local news stations sent terse warnings about evacuations- The path of the fire headed snaking directly toward us. I had all valuables and paperwork and evacuation gear, by the door waiting to be told to leave. Flames licking the sky, smoke filling the air, getting closer and closer we waited and PRAYED. Nightfall was dotted with red glowing of the mountain range as the fires spread. Fanned by gusty winds, the fire spread vigorously. Morning light brought no relief, containment was at best 5%.Jon and I had an appointment we had to keep and he got me, as we were going to pick up another person, we drove dangerously close to the blazing mountains—the smoke over powering, filling the air as it wafted into the atmosphere. WE were looking into the very GATES OF HELL. Appointment over Josh had operated the coverage of the fire waiting the evacuation orders, tense and sleepless we watched containment now 15% but no end in sight. HIS HAND intervened in a mighty way there was NO escape route for us in Colorado Springs all roads we closed, as the fire raced toward Manitou Springs, had the fire continued it would reach us in less than 10 minutes. We would be trapped in THE GATES OF HELL. Right before the fire got to the city line of Manitou Springs the wind shifted and sent the fire back up the mountain it had destroyed. What a blessing we were spared and all the families who could not have left. Sharing this with you my readers, you may wonder, why? To underscore we never know in an instant when our life might be required of us, HELL is so real and as I felt the heat, had my lungs fill with irritating smoke, I KNEW I HAD TO SHARE WITH YOU THE GATES OF HELL. "Did God create hell?" Everything that ever was or is or will be is created by God, including hell (says, “All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.” God alone has the power to cast someone into hell Jesus holds the keys of death and Hades ().Hell is a place of suffering originally prepared by God for the devil and his angels (). It is clear there is an actual place where the spirits of the unsaved go for eternity . Jesus said that hell was “prepared” for Satan and the demons It is a just punishment for the wicked one. Hell, or the lake of fire, will also be the destination for those who reject Christ (The good news is that people can avoid hell. God, in His infinite mercy and love, has made a way of salvation for everyone who trusts in God’s Son, Jesus Christ The inner core is about 5,150–6,360 Km (or 3,160–3,954 miles) below the surface There is no way to measure the temperature at the Earth's core directly. We know from mines and drill holes that, near the surface of the Earth, the temperature increases by about 1 degree Fahrenheit for every 60 feet in depth. If this temperature increase continued to the center of the Earth, the Earth's core would be 100,000 degrees Celsius! However, nobody believes the Earth is that hot; the temperature increase must slow down with depth and the core is probably about 3000 to 5000 degrees Celsius. So many miles and with each mile it gets progressively hotter, your chance for missing THE GATES OF HELL is farther, and farther away. — is Hell real? Could this be the entrance or one of the many gates to hell? The fact hell WAS created by God for the devil and his demons reflect no saved person will enter, the false prophets who have tried in vain to deter the souls, saved by the Blood of the Lamb will avoid the depths of hell. No amount of makeup can or will ever transform a tormented soul. #3 WHY would you chose hell over paradise? #4 Do you want your children to ‘go to hell’? #5 Is there time for change? Father, Praise you for your tender mercy, which will save anyone from hell if they chose to live for you. The place of torment has NO place in the child of God’s life and each soul destined for your kingdom will avoid hell. King James Version Change your email Bible version A person who is lazy lacks understanding. He is ignorant of what is happening. This person is not keeping his property in good condition, and so entropy is pulling it into a state of disorganization. That is the way of all material things. He is not doing enough to overcome inertia. Proverbs has much to say about laziness. It does not matter whether the laziness is in physical or spiritual endeavors. The point here is that little or nothing will be produced by the slothful person. Many people conquer laziness concerning physical things, such as business matters. I once heard a radio interview of a millionaire many times over who had become that way through a scheme that he took advantage of. It was perfectly legal; there was nothing wrong with it that way. This man said in response to a question, "You don't become rich being lazy. It takes hard work." That is what this passage in Proverbs 24 is saying. We want to be spiritually rich. We want our relationships to be rich and to produce the right things, so to achieve this will require a good deal of effort on our parts. Secular people learn these principles and put them to work in business, and they prosper as a result of it. However, they avoid making the same effort in spiritual matters. In the church, this lack of effort produces Laodiceanism. The Laodicean is rich and increased with goods, which means that he is doing all right in the business world, but he is not paying much attention to the spiritual. He is not using the same principles in regard to spiritual things that he does to physical things. Thus, he becomes reasonably well-off materially, but God says that, spiritually, he is wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked (Revelation 3:17). We need this instruction from Proverbs because what we see in these verses will produce Laodiceanism in us unless we fight against it and overcome it. — John W. Ritenbaugh

Abram said, "Master GOD, how am I to know this, that it will all be mine?" Genesis 15:8 King David went in, took his place before GOD, and prayed: "Who am I, my Master GOD, and what is my family, that you have brought me to this place in life? 2 Samuel 7:18” He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" I said, "Master GOD, only you know that."Ezekiel 37:3 The “Divine Guardians” in the Message “The NAM identifies their "Masters" as "divine guardians" and "custodians of the Divine Plan." The New-Age Tara Center describes the "Masters" as "custodians" of the Divine Plane: The Masters, together forming the Spiritual Hierarchy, are the custodians of the Divine Plan for this planet. (Basics of Ageless Wisdom, Tara Center, p. 3). In Deuteronomy 32:8, the Mess also references these "divine guardians" who "care for the Earth." This is not Bible Christianity. (Riplinger, G.A. New Age Versions, p. 85) New Age guru H.P. Blavatsky teaches the NAM begins with "the One": "The esoteric theogony begins with the One. . . " (Blavatsky, H.P. The Secret Doctrine. Vol. 1, Page 94) "The Secret Doctrine carries this idea into the region of metaphysics and postulates a ‘One Form of Existence’ as the basis and source of all things." (Blavatsky, H.P. The Secret Doctrine. Vol. 1, Page 46) In the following quote Blavatsky states Jehovah and the Serpent [Satan] that tempted Eve both are the "One". It is curious that Jehovah's name in Hebrew should also be One,. . . Jehovah -- esoterically (as Elohim) -- is also the Serpent or Dragon that tempted Eve. . . (Blavatsky, H.P. The Secret Doctrine. Vol. 1, Page 73) The One theology stems from pantheism. The word Pantheism derives from the Greek words pan meaning "all" and theos meaning "god." Pantheism teaches God is All and All is God or "One". It rejects a personal, loving God, instead defining God as "Presence" or "One." Infoplease defines "pantheism" as "a denial of God's personality and expresses a tendency to identify God and nature." The god Pan appears as a cloven-foot, half-man, half-goat satyr playing the hypnotic "pan pipes." (Ezek. 28:13) Occultist Albert Pike describes Satan as ". . . the mythologic and horned form of the God Pan. . ." It continues to spread the New Age "Oneness." I in them and you in me. Then they'll be mature in this oneness. . . John 17:23 Because there is one loaf, our many-ness becomes one-ness. . . 1 Corinthians 10:17 Another "oneness" term the New Age Religion exercises is "interdependence." Constance Cumbey writes in The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow, "Another key teaching of this movement is that all things are ‘interconnected’ or ‘interdependent’". (Cumbey, Constance, The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow, p. 67) Cult author Dr. Walter Martin, identifies "interdependence" as a New Age "buzz-word" used to "describe the oneness". Interdependence/Interconnectedness – These words are used by New Agers to describe the oneness and essential unity of everything in the universe. (Martin, Walter, The New Age Cult, p. 129) Like a hypnotized cobra being charmed by the sweet sound of the piper, The Mess serenely dances to the New Age Piper (Ezek. 28:13) while singing the song of interdependence. Romans 1:14 The “Presence” in The Message Another key New Age teaching surrounds "the Presence." The NAM "Presence" forms a mystic, impersonal pantheist "presence" of God. (Elizabeth Clare Prophet, Mysteries of the Holy Grail, p. 217) Alice Bailey reveals the "Presence" strikes a blow at the Biblical "transcendent" God or a God that exists apart from nature and man. This inevitably brings in the concept of the Presence, or of God Immanent and is the result of the needed revolt against the one-sidedness of the belief in God Transcendent." (Bailey, Alice, The Externalization of the Hierarchy, p. 355) The Mess refers to God at least 34 times as the NAM "Presence." Teaching the God of the Bible as a mystic Presence constitutes blatant blasphemy. This can only be defined within a New Age viewpoint. In sharp contrast, remember, the Mess NEVER directly refers to Jesus as Lord. The following verses (of many) echo the NAM mystic "Presence" of the Mess: No one has ever gone up into the presence of God except the One who came down from that Presence, the Son of Man. Always keep fresh Bread of the Presence on the Table before me. Exodus 25:30 The “Energy” in The Message Energy activates the spiritual "force" of the New Age religion. Prayers, meditations, invocations, and rituals all create energies. The inflow of this energy has brought many hundreds of people into a new and deeper spiritual realization;. . . Thus is the New Age dawning . . . This is the occult law. (Bailey, Alice. The Externalization of the Hierarchy, p. 7) Every man should realize that in the use of energy lies direction and the treading of the Path. . . Students should familiarize themselves with the ‘energy concept’ and learn to regard themselves as energy units displaying certain types of energy. (Bailey, Alice. The Rays and the Initiations, p. 4) Alice Bailey references "energy" over 1029 in the Rays and The Initiations. New Age disciple and popular, folk-rocker Tori Amos, defines this New Age energy as Lucifer, while readily confessing her love and worship of Lucifer. I wanted to marry Lucifer. . . I don’t consider Lucifer an evil force. We can all tap into that free-running current of distorted energy." Tori Amos, (Francesca Lia Block, "The Volcano Lover", SPIN, March 1996) To visit Father Lucifer, to have a moment to dance... to go down in the dark, to visit with the dude! Not these little ‘Prince of Darkness’ wannabes... some of them are cute, but to visit the real energy force that has held the darkness: you go there with honor. . ." Note: Energy only appears one time in some of the other per-versions. The Mess leaves no doubt concerning its faith in the New Age "energy" force. In Matthew 5:44 and Luke 6:28, the Mess changes "pray" to "the energies of prayer." Apparently, God no longer answers our prayers, instead, the prayer itself, generates "the energy." The Bible definition of prayer means "to ask." (Matthew 21:22) When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer for that person. Luke 6:28 Mark 5:30 and Luke 16:19 no longer reads "virtue" leaving the Lord Jesus, but "energy discharging" or "surging" from him. At the same moment, Jesus felt energy discharging from him. He turned around to the crowd and asked, "Who touched my robe?" Mark 5:30 The following are a few more (of many) undeniable NAM "energy" doctrine in the Mess: All this energy issues from Christ: God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, Ephesians 1:20 That energy is God's energy, an energy deep within you, God himself willing and working at what will give him the most pleasure. Philippians 2:13 The “Light” in The Message A casual study of the New Age religion quickly exposes their light-god. A best selling New Age book of the 90’s was Embraced by the Light by Betty Eadie. Light is the cornerstone of NAM. The popular new age prayer called The Great Invocation by Alice Bailey, (originally published by Lucifer Publishing), begins with the words, "From the point of Light within the Mind of God Let Light stream forth into the minds of men. Let Light descend on Earth." And it ends with "Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth." Marilyn Ferguson, states in her best-selling New-Age guidebook, The Aquarian Conspiracy: "Always, the vision of evolution toward the light. Light is the oldest and most pervasive metaphor in spiritual experience. We speak of enlightenment, the city of light, the Light of the Word, children of light, the ‘white-light experience’, (Ferguson, Marilyn. The Aquarian Conspiracy, p. 385) The guiding light of NAM is Lucifer, which means "light bearer." Hence, new age disciples proudly label themselves, "light bearers." The Dictionary of Word Origins by John Ayto, under the listing for "Lucifer," simply says "see LIGHT." (p. 329) The definition for "light" then reads ". . . Latin lux ‘light’ which English gets Lucifer, literally ‘light bearer’." (Ayto, John. Dictionary of Word Origins, p. 323) 2 Corinthians 11:14, says, ". . . Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." In Luke 10:18, Jesus Christ says, ". . . I beheld Satan as lightning . . ." The following excerpts from New Age material testify of their "light" god: "This Light will irradiate (in a fashion unknown before) not only the Father's House, which is the source of all our planetary light. . This light will now flood the world of men, bringing illumination to men's minds and light into the dark places of human living It is light and - above all else . . ." (Bailey, Alice. The Reappearance of the Christ, p. 58) "To this light the mystics testify, and it is this light into which they enter, and which enters into them, revealing the light which is latent and drawing it forth to potency. "In Thy light shall we see light." This is the outstanding fact of scientific mysticism. God is light. . ." (Bailey, Alice. I (I think others as well) believe this is the 'mark of the beast'. Does anyone know if the Rapture will take place before the government enforces the microchip insertion? I mean, how is it perceived in the bible on how this unfolds? Answer: Mysti, the Bible is very clear on this topic: the Rapture takes place before the Mark of the Beast is introduced since the Rapture precedes the Great Tribulation. I will not take the time here to point to the validity of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture position. That is excellently explained in a number of articles on the Rapture Forums site. (I highly recommend Dr. Thomas Ice's Why I Believe The Bible Teaches Rapture Before Tribulation.) Therefore, since the Church is removed from earth prior to the start of the Great Tribulation, it is impossible that no Christian, no blood-bought member of Christ's Church, can ever take the Mark of the Beast. Let's take a quick look at the timing of events. We can easily see that the Mark of the Beast does not occur until after the seventh of the Seven Trumpets has sounded. And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound of the sword and has come to life. 15 And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, 17 and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six. (Revelation 13:11-18) That this occurs during the final 3 and a half years of the Tribulation is shown by Revelation 13:5: "There was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him." The context makes it clear that this 42 months (3-1/2 years) is the final half of the seven year Great Tribulation. Thus the Mark of the Beast-which, incidentally, I agree will undoubtedly done by government-mandated chip insertion-will not occur until half-way through the Great Tribulation ... at the very least three and a half years after the Church has been raptured. (Likely more since there is no evidence that the Great Tribulation will necessarily begin the moment the Church is Raptured. I pray this puts your mind at ease.
