Imagine the thirst on a scalding hot summer day, the blazing sun scorching your skin and parching your dry cracked lips. Offering little relief the wind is hot and dry intensifying the pain from this intense heat. Seeking shade to protect you in some small way ,unable to find shelter it is as if you are alone in the desert. Finding the shade tree, you lie down to recover and still seeking water, it is unbearable the thirst. The hallucinations begin and fill your mind with only thoughts of cold water, deep cool pools of water, rushing water, still water ,a water cooler filled with drinking water so many images flash in front of you. Your tongue swollen and protruding, makes it impossible to close your parched cracked lips. Longing for the green pastures and still waters ,your silent scream goes unheard, your skin feels as if it is on fire yet there are no visual signs of blisters or burns. Only the Lord can lead you away from the torment you are in. Your rebellion and hard stubborn heart has hardened you refuse to listen to the many warnings offered. I have been honored to have two water wells for sustenance dug and built in the Gobi Desert in Mongolia, the need was and still is dire for clean drinking water and purification systems. People in the USA take clean water for granted and don’t give a thought of a life in the grips and flames of hell where there is no water. Water can offer healing,2 Kings 2:21 And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land. There are so many list of water in the Word of God yet this one seems to apply to the thirst a lost person is going through: Revelation 22:1 - And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. Also can the waters cause extreme illness. Allowing the severe suffering you are allowing yourself to be thrust even deeper into the abyss of hell. Reach out for the nail scarred hand HE will meet you and redeem your soul from hell, where you will meet the rich man and many others who ‘did it my way’. Points to ponder: #1 Does the heat and thirst for the living water cause you to rethink your position? #2 Are you allowing your family members to be lead astray by the world, for them to feel the intense torment ?Are you ‘allowing them’ to ‘make up their own mind’? #3 Are you a leader of your family or the follower? #4 Can you be trusted to be the leader of your family and have the safety of you making the right decisions or are you letting them ‘decide for themselves’? Father, Praise you for the love your Son Jesus showed in obeying you and dying so we may be saved from the pit of hell and the grips of torment. Praise you YOUR words will not come back void and they have not fallen on deaf ears but this reader has taken a stand for you now realizing it is NOT to late.
