PRAYER FOR OUR CHILDREN

Dear Lord, We lift up our kids to you. Life is so much harder for them than it was for us Lord. There is so much more pressure and things are not as easy as they were for us. We pray for a hedge of protection about them. We ask that you would keep them safe from harm from outside sources and from themselves. We ask that you would speak to their hearts and grant them your wisdom and discernment. May they listen to your will and not be afraid to pursue it, even if it is not a popular decision among their peers. We pray they will find their sense of identity and self worth in what you think of them and not what the world would project onto them. Open doors of opportunity for them Lord. May they be filled with hope for their future. We know all things are possible through you. May they dare to dream and not be afraid. Lead and guide them Lord. May they have hearts of compassion and may they desire your truth and a relationship with you above all else. May they learn to cling to you in the storms and may they learn resiliency and perseverance to see them through whatever they may encounter in life. Remind us to love them with your love daily and help us to see them through your eyes. We know that you love them far more than we do Lord...they are your children. Help us to be good parents and may we remove our will for their lives and future and only seek what you would have for them Lord. Bless our children we pray.
